Battuere

Battuere is a strategy game played on an 8 by 8 square board by one or two players (human vs. human or human vs. computer). A variation of Battuere has appeared in Martin Gardner's Mathematical Recreations column in Scientific American. Battuere, like checkers and chess, is a mixture of offense and defense. The rules are extremely simple, but the game play is challenging and highly enjoyable. Check it out!
