Floor Tiles

FloorTiles is a puzzle/arcade game for the Mac. It's in the spirit of Tetris and Columns, but is NOT just a clone of either of those games. It's a totally unique and original game in which you place 4-color (or 4-pattern, on B&W monitors) tiles on a grid and try to match colors with already-placed tiles. Very simple to learn, but fun and challenging to play. Requires both quick thinking and quick reflexes. This is version 2.0 of FloorTiles; a much-enhanced update to the original FloorTiles, which has earned a great deal of critical acclaim (see below). FloorTiles is actually 3 distinct games in one package. The 3 games are similar in some respects, but each requires a different strategic approach. Furthermore, each game can be played on either the full-sized "Big Board" , or a smaller, quicker "Small Board", and each game can be played in an arcade "Timer" mode or a leisurely "No-Timer" mode. Thus, there are a total of twelve variations (3x2x2) available in this one small program. Instructions are included in the game, under the "Guide" and Apple menus. This is version 2.0.1 of FloorTiles. This version introduces preference-saving and registration via the Kagi shareware system. Note: FloorTiles 2.0 is a shareware re-release of my commercial game "Macao", formerly published by Axis Software.
